Me and my wife were stopped at a stop light when all of a sudden this guy on a motorcycle crashes and comes sliding right in front of me. I immediately jumped out of my car, and watched as this guy slid to a stop right in front of me. I ran up to him, and it was so crazy. This guy looked right in my eyes! He couldnt move and couldnt talk, but stared right at me, like he knew me! The ambulance came and took him away, but i dont know his condition. It really tripped me out. Theres not much you can do in that situation except hold his hand and wait for the amber lights to arrive. It really tripped me out.

You did the right thing - that was a human in need of comfort which you gave...say a prayer, and be glad you could help..hopefully he'll be ok and will remember the wonderful person that was there for him...

:ot:

And for all those that will jump in to say how dangerous motorcycles are - yes, they can be, but most incidents are caused by people in cars - remember that when you're driving...they always say "I just didn't see him." Get off the cell phones, quit eating, no make-up/shaving, playing with the radio, not using or looking for turn signals, and in general..Not Paying Attention..

a motorcyclist came up realllllllly close to me and scraped all against the side of my car (i was stopped at an intersection too) then went in the intersection and fell off his bike. i pulled over to run out and see if he was okay. instead he got up, got back on his bike, and drove off. leaving me with a huge scrap on my car.

boooooooooo!

anyway, sorry for the rant. i hope that guy is okay! :) you're a hero!

Great job!! Hopefully the guy was properly dressed so that will help him a bit injury wise.

Canadians Visiting the USA while undergoing the visa process, my free advice:

1) Always tell the TRUTH. never lie to the POE officer

2) Be confident in ur replies

3) keep ur response short and to the point, don't tell ur life story!!

4) look the POE officer in the eye when speaking to them. They are looking for people lieing and have been trained to find them!

5) Pack light! No job resumes with you

6) Bring ties to Canada (letter from employer when ur expected back at work, lease, etc etc)

7) Always be polite, being rude isn't going to get ya anywhere, and could make things worse!!

8) Have a plan in case u do get denied (be polite) It wont harm ur visa application if ur denied, that is if ur polite and didn't lie! Refer to #1

Motorcycles are dangerous because it's easier to die when you are on one and you get into an accident. Didn't say anything about whose fault the accident is.

I know you didn't... thought I'd put it out there before the 'band-wagon' crew got here...not that that ever happens here...
