Does anyone know if my fiance needs some paperwork stating she can take the children with her on the K1 visa?? She has two children.

One father past away, second father of second child not around and basically abandoned her daughter.

What to do??? Does anyone have mexico experience? I know there's a lot of fiances that don't have the info on the father.

Thanks,

I guess you have to ask in the Mexico forum or the embassy it self.

It is different from country to country. Some want full custody of the child and that's all, some also want a note from the father stating she is allowed to take the child out of the country.

Hello Intenz888,

I have some experience with K1 and K2. I had my son's biological father sign a notarized permit so I could travel with my son. At the time of the interview in Cd. Juarez, I was required to show that notarized letter.

I have a few questions: How old are the children? Does the child without the father around have a passport? There are a lot of cases when the father/mother is nowhere to be found and that is when things get complicated. Now that your fiance is still in Mexico, I'd suggest your fiance to get the full custody documentation and that involves seeing a Judge, etc. It'll probably take time, but believe me, that will save you a lot of headaches in the future!

Good luck,
