unable to change profile picture (split topic)

This seems to be the thread on profile photo problems.

I originally up-loaded a pic of my wife and I and had no problem.

I then tried to change the pic w/o success. I read somewhere here to give it sometime and 3 days later it finally changed but I had up-loaded the wrong photo.

When I tried to change it again I kept seeing my original pic for some reason so I ignored that. uploaded my new pic, (America the beautiful), clicked done and hoped it would again change given time. It's been over a week now and I notice the pic I want to use is on my profile page but the old one (God bless A) is still on my posts?

Mac OS 10:11

Firefox 41.0.2 which is set to delete the cache and cookies each time it's closed..

also a hard refresh may be needed as your computer could be reading the cache.

Among other things I've tried deleting my photo and when there is no photo deleting my cache, sign back in and there's no photo. As soon as I try to add my new photo it shows back up as my profile photo and the old one that shows on my posts repopulates as the new one. It's not that big of a deal but it seems strange when I go to my profile the correct photo is shown but not on my posts.

Have you tried resizing the new picture to be smaller? I had that issue once because the new photo was too large. It should be about 200x200

September 2, 2011: AOS invoice received, OPTIN email for EP sent
September 7, 2011: Paid AOS bill (payment portal showed PAID on September 9, 2011)
September 8, 2011: OPTIN email accepted, GZO number assigned
September 10, 2011: Emailed AOS package
September 12, 2011: IV bill invoiced
September 13, 2011: Paid IV bill (payment portal showed PAID on September 14, 2011)
September 14, 2011: Emailed IV package
October 3, 2011: Emailed checklist response (checklist generated due to typo on Form DS-230)

January 28, 2014: Production of new Green Card ordered

February 3, 2014: New Green Card received; done with USCIS until fall of 2023*

December 18, 2023:  Filed I-90 to renew Green Card

December 21, 2023:  Production of new Green Card ordered - will be seeing USCIS again every 10 years for renewal
