Hi everyone,

I came as an K1, and already filed the "I-485, I-765,I-131" package to Chicago lockbox on March 16th, We have received the notice, received date is March 18 and notice date (the day the USCIS cashed our money order) is March 31. The case now is in National Benefit Center at Lee's summit, MO.

We received the Biometrics appointment notice on April 16, and the appointment date is April 26. I tried a "walk-in" today and there was very few people probably because the weather. I finished my Biometrics for I-483 and I-765 today.

The question I have is:

1. I have seen on this forum that the Biometrics is also for I-131 even though it's not indicated on the notice itself, Is that for sure?

2. I really really need to go back to my home country around May 20th (for educational reason). What else left for me to do to expedite the process of the AP now?

3. How long dose AP allow for me to stay in my home country if its approved? Is a month ok?

Thank you so much :luv::luv::luv::luv::luv:

AP does not require biometrics. That is why only the I-485 and I-765 receipt numbers are listed on the bio appointment letter.

Criteria for Expedited Processing of an Application

USCIS will expedite an application, including an application for a travel document, Form I-131, in certain situations, which may include:

  • Severe financial loss to company or person;
  • Emergency situations;
  • Humanitarian reasons;
  • Nonprofit organization whose request is in furtherance of the cultural and social interests of the United States;
  • Department of Defense or National Interest Situation (Note: The request must come from an official U.S. Government entity and state that delay will be detrimental to the Government.);
  • USCIS error; or
  • Compelling interest of USCIS.

You may submit an expedite request by contacting the National Customer Service Center (NCSC) at 1-800-375-5283, or by submitting a written request and supporting documentation with your application.

I checked the USCIS website today, and it states my expedite request has been processed so I called the 800 number, and the customer representative kindly told me the result. They need me to fax more evidence. I don't think I can do that.i already included the only evidence I have in the application. So...

Btw, I read you and your spouse's story. Good luck!

Are they still processing your expedite or did they say they weren't going to do it?
