I have a question that I can't really find a answer to. I've had people told me told me to wait and people said its okay to visit. Here is my situation, I received my NOA1 over 8 months and a half months ago and my Fiance is really eager for me to visit, I do miss her as well and I want to visit before the rainy season (she lives in South East Asia, plane tickets gets pricey and the weather sucks during the rainy season). Is it okay to go ahead and visit her while in the middle of the petition or should I wait?

Thanks for any answers in advance.

There is absolutely no reason you cannot go while you wait

I had the same question and concern that you do. My boyfriend that is american already called USCIS, Customs and even the Consulate to make sure 100% that i can go to visit him. They all said the same. I CAN go while the k1 is in process (of course Im going with my tourist visa), its up to me to show the customs officer that Im gonna come back to my country so if you have enough proof to come back it will be fine!

Hope this helps! good luck!

Hi everyone! Thanks again for the answers, they helped me a LOT!

We sent the forms to start the K1 process last week. Do you know how long it takes the g1145 e-notice of application acceptance?

For what I saw, other couples got the NOA1 after 2, 3, 6, 7 and 10 days so I think that we should have gotten that by now. I dont know how it works :/ Does someone know how it does?

Thank you once again for your time :)

Is there a limit of days you can be in the US from Canada while you are waiting for your K1 visa? My Canandian fiancé drives a truck down into the US twice a week and then comes to visit me seperatly for several days to a week at a time. Do all these days accumulate?
