Hi All,

We mailed our adjustment of status package two and a half weeks ago via UPS. I received a tracking notification that it was received at the Chicago Lockbox on Monday, April 4 (two weeks ago). I still haven't received any notification from USCIS, nor have they cashed my cheque. Is this normal? If not, should I call USCIS to figure this out even though I only have a UPS tracking number at this point?

Thanks,

Thanks,

They sent me notification in the mail (797) about 2-3 weeks after mine arrived at USCIS. It may take longer in some situations, Im quite sure. There is also the option of adding a cell phone number on their website to get alert updates regarding your status, and you can also call them.

Same here. Only the USPS tracking number, the package was delivered to their office on April 4th morning. Still nothing: no checks cashed, no mail or text notification.

Actually I have already mentally prepared myself to get the package back in the mail soon, cause I probably did smth wrong.

I don't think they lost it.

It's either a delay in their work or the package is on it's way back home.

But! one thing i noticed is that according to the data that we have on this forum. only 4 put of 14 cases that were filed from april 2 to april 4 got responce. So probably they just put it on someone's desk and this person forgot or whatever.

I don't wanna make anything up.

But the only option we have is to wait until we either get our documnets back or get notices of action.

Good luck!

If you don't recieve it in 10 business I recommend calling them cause that's what I did and I found out why , and it wasn't even my fault but someone in the office clearly not having there glasses on, definitely call them

Thanks everyone for sharing your experiences. I got the text and e-mail notification today that it was received and checked my bank account to see that they took the money out. Hoping the rest of the process is not as delayed from here on in.

I'm in the same situation. I filed my I-765 and I-131 renewal (based on my pending AOS since May 2015!) on April 28th through FEDEX to USCIS Chicago lockbox, my tracking number shows the package was delivered on May 2nd, signed by J. CHYBA. However, I still have not gotten any receipt notice yet. I'm really worried, as my EAD will expired soon in August. When I first filed my AOS and EAD package, it only took 2 days to get notice, but not after 13 days, still nothing! I have called service center, told me to wait. I will have to call again this week.

Still wondering, J.Chyba is USCIS officer  or fedex officer?

Do you realize that you are asking a question in a thread that was last used over three (3) years ago, and asking of a VJ member that hasn't been active for almost three (3) year ago???

Yess....I sent my AOS package some days a go by fedex and also signed by J.CHYBA, but I still don't get any confirmation from USCIS about my package, so I'm wondering if they accept it or not :)

How many are "some" days?

YMMV
