Good Morning,

My husband is finishing the Hardship letter for my 1601 waiver but we have a question, He translated most of the evidence documents we are using, the question is: Does he need to writte the statement where he says he is competent to translate from spanist to english just the way we do with the certificates?

Thanks for your help

Question, before you go to the trouble of having them translated, what exactly are the documents and do they constitute hardship to the USC as opposed to the beneficiary?

Right, they are the evidence of hardship to the USC s. diagnosis, prescriptions, doctors letter, etc

Ok as long as it's your or a usc child's hardship. I would add something like this to each document:

I certify that I am competent to translate from [Language] to English and that the above [identify the document and to whom it pertains] is a correct and true translation to the best of my knowledge and belief.
