First of all, are you the petitioner or beneficiary?

The petitioner (USC) must start the process by filing I130 and supporting documents. First upon approval of the petition, the beneficiary (foreign spouse) may apply for the visa (CR1).

Please, take some time to review the guides readily available on this website - you will learn a lot!

Also, check out the regional forum for Ghana, and stay tuned on the CR1/IR1 forum to learn about the process from others going through it.

Good luck, and don't hesitate to reach out on the forum if you have specific quesitons and concerns regarding your case :-)

If it isn't difficult, it isn't worth it.
