Hi Everyone. I got my visa CR1 on 03/09/2016. Which says 'Upon Endorsement serves as Temporary I-551 evidencing permanent residence for 1 year' I got to the US on 04/01/2016, but didn't pay the $165 at the port of Entry because I thought they were supposed to ask me about it.. Will I still wait for my physical green card to arrive, or I have to pay the $165? If I have to, I need someone to put me through this so I know how to make the payment to get my green card. I will be grateful if anyone can assist me with this. THANKS!!!

You need to pay the green card fee to get the green card. You get it about 30 days after you've paid the fee, although it can take up to 120 days. Along with your visa packet, you were given instructions how to pay the fee.

Sept 15th 2015 - Request help from Texas US Senator Cornyn and his team


Sept 23rd 2015 - Our case is moved from supervisor review to NVC's team for dealing with Senator requests

Dec 16th 2015 - Medical exam


Dec 21st 2015 - Interview


Dec 21st 2015 - 221(g) issued at interview for updated forms


Jan 13th 2016 - Mailed our reply to the 221(g) to the US Embassy, received and CEAC updated the next morning


Jan 20th 2016 - Embassy require more in-depth info on asset for i-864


Feb 1st 2016 - Sent more in-depth info on assets as requested. Received the next morning


Feb 16th 2016 - Visa has been issued :dancing: :dancing: :dancing: :dancing: :dancing:



In the US


April 5th 2016 - POE Newark. No questions asked.


April 14th 2016 - SSN received


May 10th 2016 - First day at my new job :dancing:


May 27th 2016 - Green Card received


June 7th 2016 - Got my Texas driver's license

How to pay the Green Card Production fee of $165 on the Elis system. 

NO NEED FOR ACCESS CODE, that is for other procedures like getting a copy of a green card, etc.

1. Create the ELIS account here: https://myaccount.uscis.dhs.gov/

2. Go here to pay fee: https://www.uscis.go...g-online-filing

3. Click to pay the USCIS immigrant fee icon.

4.Click "continue" at the bottom.

5.Enter the Alien Number and the NVC or DOS case. Use the same email you used on the ELIS account.

This is critical to enable your created ELIS account to receive your payment information.

6. You will get an email confirming your payment.

7. When you log again on the ELIS account, you will see your case number. (It is added automatically).

8. Login into your ELIS account to track or check the status of your Green Card.

Note: Green Card process starts when immigrant enters USA and is processed at POE.

Hi Everyone. I tried to pay the 165$ for my green card on the https://www.uscis.gov/file-online/log-online-filing. Is asked for my A-number and Case ID,and I did put it but it keeps coming with ERROR,and couldn't find my data.Please I would like to know why this is happening. THANK YOU!!!
