I've been given an appointment which is beyond the expiration date of my petition. I've sent emails requesting to change the date, but only automatic response is given, which also directs me to another Website. So I called the Ghana consulate, the lady said is OK to maintain the date given to me since I have already started the process.

I'm just not comfortable, has anyone had this similar experience?

Yea that's like 90 percent of the k-1s that go through Ghana. Since they take forever to send the call in letter, or give u a far date because they are booked, or in a couple of our cases reschedule u. Our noa will expire but it's fine because the ball is now in the department of States hands so it's fine . Once your visa is approved, you are on a new time clock and that's six months from the medical to enter the US and the marriage needs to take place 90 days after the beneficiary arrives in the US.
