Troubling cellphone video shows the moment a group of people began attacking an officer as he tried to arrest a man for an allegedly assault
Officer Matthew Cammarn was trying to arrest Brian Shannon, 22, when the man began to fight with him
The men scuffled on the ground and bystanders began pushing and kicking the officer while he was on the ground
Shannon fled and Cammarn chased after him, despite sustaining a head injury, which later sent him to the hospital
Shannon was later arrested and Cammarn was released from the hospital
