Hi,

I recently had my K1 Fiance visa interview on Tuesday April 5th at the Johannesburg US embassy in South Africa. My interview went really well - I was told to expect an email "next week" to pick up my passport from DHL. I also checked the CEAC website constantly, and it says that my visa case was changed to "issued" 2 days later on Thursday April 7th. It has now been 8 working days since my interview and it will be 7 working days on Monday since the visa case was changed to "issued".

I have emailed the embassy to make sure that they have my correct email address and cellphone number but have not had a response in more than 4 working days.

I think this process has just been so exhausting and I really just want to see my Fiance. I'm struggling with the waiting period and feeling a bit anxious.

Can anyone give any information as to whether this is normal? Has anyone experienced something similar?

I see a lot of cases where "Administrative Processing" can take some time, but not "issued".

Please help!

Sincerely,

A very anxious Fiancee.
