Hello everyone :)

I've noticed in the nebraska service center processing times here in VJ it says they're currently approving Dec. 1st, 2016. Now I'm a bit confused because on the timelines and in the recently approved I've seen that there's people who are being approved and their priority dates are Dec. 7th, Dec. 21st, Dec 11th, Dec. 18th etc. So it's just an estimate I guess right?

My timeline:

Married: 03/29/09

Filed i130: 01/04/16

Noa1: 02/02/16

Noa2: 06/01/16

NVC Received: 06/20/16

NVC Case #:

These are conservative estimates. Although cases from the second half of December have been approved recently (which fills me with joy that I am less than 2 months from approval, possibly), there are still cases from November and even earlier lurking in the Nebraska office. Some cases are more complex than others, may have RFEs where additional documents are awaited and so on.

Timeline in brief:

Married: September 27, 2014

I-130 filed: February 5, 2016

NOA1: February 8, 2016 Nebraska

NOA2: July 21, 2016

Interview: December 6, 2016 London

POE: December 19, 2016 Las Vegas

N-400 filed: September 30, 2019

Interview: March 22, 2021 Seattle

Oath: March 22, 2021 COVID-style same-day oath

It is just an estimate as it's based on data from all of us Nebraska filers who entered info in our timeline. It does give us all a little hope seeing as USCIS still have September on their website! With a little timeline searching I've noticed a couple of things ....

1) Nebraska is speeding up and is approving some from December (not that they've finished all of November or October yet ... although we don't know why as they may be RFE's or simply that people haven't updated their timeline)

2) A LOT of recent application appear to have gone to nebraska ... so hopefully they're not swamped as a result.

3) We should be happy we didn't get Texas as they seem to be slowing down

I'm praying for Nebraska to take over California in processing times .... maybe that's a dream but hey we can only hope!

PS: I like your signature ... Philippians 4:6 is definitely VERY relevant and is a verse I've been reminding myself of lately :-)

The last thing I want is my case to be transferred. Looked what happened to the people that were transferred to Potomac. They filed in September and October last year, got transferred to Potomac in November and are STILL waiting even though Potomac is approving fresh petitions in less than 3 months!
