I-130 April 2016 Filers

With my PD of April 29 and seeing at least 80% of those cases being touched (Approved/transferred/RFE'd) and nothing to mine. I am heartbroken.

I keep check the app from my phone, and its becoming difficult to concentrate on my business. I have checked on status of 1000s of people near our files. so much that I got a warning that my IP address has been temporarily blocked the other day for one day or so...!!!

Its not like I will move today - but its a scary to me as Abu Dhabi consulate takes about 5-7 months for interview date for IR-1. It means after NoA2 there is the transfer to NVC wait, then the NVC file number wait, then NVC approval and transfer and then the ridiculous Abu Dhabi Consulate wait.

I have deleted the app from my phone now - checking it every 20 minutes is really disturbing my work.

Good wishes to all and I really am unable to understand the logic of invalidating the K-3 visa Logically, it is stronger than a K-1 case and with similar freedom to (not) work etc, it should be available at similar time lines as K-1 if not faster

Penalizing couples for being married does not make sense. Yes, some what the IR-1 route - some do not.

Vent for the day done. :)

I have talked to a couple people who were approved before me (Aug 30). They told me it took 25-30 days for their case to be transferred. Hopefully that means all of us will see movement soon.

so today marks 5 months, which is the posted processing time for i130 at Potomac. We were transferred from Potomac to NBC on July 13th to speed up processing, nothing since. Is it okay to call at this point and try to get answers?

How did you ask for a Tier 2 officer to call you back? I don't want to be rude, but no one has given me any straight answers about processing times.

Just got the text update! APPROVED!! So happy!!!!

Congratulations :dancing:

I am sorry about the REF, but at least now you know someone has looked at your paperwork. Hopefully it will be something simple so you can respond quickly and move forward. It could be that they lost something. I've seen that happen. Stay positive! Good news is coming soon.

I hope so too. :) We'll see in the coming days hopefully. My husband contacted our mail man, so he's looking out for any mail for me. And hopefully soon your case will be sent to NVC soon. Wish you the best of luck on the next stages. :)

Florida? That's interesting. Hopefully since it is probably pretty new, they will get things done quickly for you.
