Hi everyone!

My I-130 hasn't been approved yet but i'm scheduled for the Green Card Interview.. Is it normal interview before I-130 approval?

Also the letter for the interview says that i need to bring some documents like the medical examination which i did and sent with the AOS package... I need to do another medical just for the interview? They ask for the i-94 which mine expired in May 2015. Would it be an issue? We also already submitted the I864, do we need to bring all the IRS documents again?

I'm not sure about the I-130 sorry. But as for the rest, take a copy of everything you sent in your packet. The civil surgeon should have given you a copy of the I-693 take it with you. Your I-94 expiring is not an issue but take a copy too. Get a transcript from IRS of your last 3 years taxes and take them, you can go to your local IRS office ask for your tax transcripts and they print them on the spot no charge. Hope that helps. Good luck.

thanks for your reply.

Well when I did the medical examination, I asked for a copy and they said they couldn't give it to me and they enclosed everything in the envelope and they told me to don't open it.

HMMM? Don't know why they would say couldn't give you a copy I have heard of many people the received a copy. I asked and the gave me one for my wife no problem. If possible go back and explain they are asking for a copy at your interview.

Maybe someone with more knowledge on the subject will reply. Sorry could not be of more help.

Hi Alex,

Happy to see someone else from Switzerland here! We are not that much :)

My I-130 got approved after my interview. It went from "we received your form" to "case approved" right after the interview...

Personally, they didn't look at any of my papers during the interview. I spent a long time again preparing all of these documents but I didn't have to show them. But of course, you need to take everything they ask in the checklist, be prepared.

For the medical, you don't have a copy? Take a copy with you if you have it. Since you already did your medical, you don't need to do an other one. On their letter it says "unless already submitted".

Bring a copy of your I-94.

Yes you need to bring all of the documents you already sent for AOS. For my interview, I even took a copy of I-485, I-130, G-325 in case they wanted to keep a copy (as I wanted to keep a copy of everything I sent for myself).

Just to be safe, take everything you already submitted. Good luck
