Hi According to the information on USCIS website https://www.uscis.gov/visabulletin-mar-16 I am eligible to file adjustment of status, Since I belong to the rest of the world category, F2b and My petition was filled on Oct 2010 and currently I am in the US on a student visa .

However USCIS keeps rejecting my application saying that my priority date is not current?

Any idea what I can do? Any tips is highly appreciated.

maybe send a copy of the visa bulletin from the USCIS website with the I-485 so the USCIS understands that you know your petition is current.

Yes, I did. But why are they keep saying my Priority date is not current

hi

because it isn't. there are 2 bulletins, the priority date is based on the first bulletin that you see, so for f2b immigration is working on June 15, 2009

but based on the second bulletin, you can send the adjustment of status packet, the use of the second bulletin is quite new, only a few monthsyou

maybe you could get an infopass appointment and see why,

what evidence did you send with the packet that you were eligible to send it at this time?

I have sent all the required evidences, and I don't have a problem with the evidences... however the infopass appointment could be a good idea. I think I should do that, But what does the infopass does? do you know any know how?

hi

you can make an appointment and speak to an immigration officer, explain the situation and try to find out why the keep returning your file

the officer might explain how the second bulletin works or you might get the chance to show the officer that you are eligible to file according to the second bulletin
