I've done researching many websites about putting an expedite request on EAD so I decided to put one on on my 50th day after the received date. They asked me to fax financial hardship, job offer, to them. After 2 weeks, nothing happened. Called again to follow up on my 65days, they know nothing, and my friend who filed EAD a day after me already got approved. She never asked for expedite but waited patiently. I have no idea how she is approved before I do. I called customer service, and they said its approved base on individual situation. We both are in the same condition, same area, NY, and everything. The only thing I could see is that she never requests for any expedite. However, I am never informed that expedite request would affect normal processing time. I regret, and im very disappointed how they have expedite request service but take me 3weeks to wait and still waiting to hear about the expedite decision. Customer service reps are unhelpful and know nothing, nor tier 2. Job offer started date is on May 9th, but going for a background clearence on April 20th. Seems like Im gonna lose this job, very good job and benefits, and its so hard to get. Very anxious. Asked senater and congressman to help but doesnt seem like it works. Nothing works out for me. Just no luck for me I guess. What should I do.

I am uncertain what is going on im a bit confused but all I can say is have patience the system works. They need to process all applications and some have red flags raised others sly through. I dont belive anyone put yours in the bottom of the pile because requested an EAD. Everyone on here is anxious tonhave their partner or family with them...its just a waiting game now..... Best of luck?

I agree that the process of immigrating can be very stressful. I have found it very useful to look at the wait times. There is a link to wait times on this website. Also, I follow other timelines that were filed about the same time. My wife's EAD took 75 days which is around the average. Just have to be patient.

Good luck with the job offer.
