For what it's worth, the same thing happened to someone else recently, and the person in the US went to the interview alone and was approved. I can't seem to find the thread right now, but it was within the last 1-2 months.

Was it a military spouse?

I say your husband makes an infopass now, not wait for you. Take all the documents you have, original interview letter, reschedule request, papers from your employer stating you had to leave the country for your job, etc. See what they tell him to do. Let them know it was out of your control not to be present because you would be for sure if you could, and that is why you wanted to reschedule in the first place.

The thread linked above where the person went without their spouse is hopeful. He may be able to go to the originally scheduled interview, take your papers from your employer and see what the IO does in that case.

Wow!! I don't really know what else to add, but as someone who lost a job over asking for time off for my wife's AOS interview, I understand your frustration with USCIS.

N-400

Feb. 12, 2016 - Sent N-400 to USCIS (3-year rule)

Feb. 19, 2016 - NOA1

Mar. 14, 2016 - Biometrics

June 2, 2016 - Interview - Recommended for Approval

Ok thank you... somewhat similar but it appears the census is that I should have my husband either go do an info pass taking my documents explaining why I am not able to attend and see what they say about the appointment. Should he also take our AOS documents i.e. bank statements, tax documents, pictures and things that I would have taken to the interview as well? Or wait to see what they say at the infopass. If he goes to the interview location, will they see him the same day?
