First Copy of Original PCC misplaced at NVC.

Hello everyone,

I forwarded my daughter's original PCC along with documents for all beneficiaries to NVC. After almost one month NVC sent an email asking to submit the PCC of my daughter. Actually it was either misplaced or might have some fault of checking the documents.As the Regional Passport Office issued us 02 original PCC I was little lucky to have an additional.To avoid further delay in processing visa I forwarded another original to NVC with making two color copies of that. Now I want to know what is the requirement in case of PCC at Mumbai Consulate while attending a visa interview. Do they need original or copy can work? Pl. advice.

@KVP, At Mumbai consulate they will be looking for original PCC only.

I'm curious why you sent the original PCC to NVC. Did they specifically ask you for the original? Only photocopies are required to be sent to NVC unless they specifically request the original. You will need to take an original copy to the interview.

Thanks for reply. I know but now both originals are sent to NVC. And as the validity of PCC is 12 months, Passport office will not issue an additional one within this time limit. What's a solution to future need of paper at Mumbai?

Actually NVC asked to send originals of all documents except passport with color photocopy of each and so I did the same for PCC. However, before sending second original I made color print of it which I do have now. In fact this is also a matter of confusion. Original of any document means one and one only-check for our mark sheets - and Passport office issues 02 then how one can say that they are originals.
