Reverse racism does not exist. Cause racism is racism regardless.

racism doesn't exist unless there is a shortage of drugs.

I think people have conflated the meaning of racism. No where in the definition does it indicated that one race must be in a position of power. To be guilty of racism you must believe your race is superior to other races.

Somehow in the last year or so, I feel like there has been an attempt to broaden the definition of racism to all forms bigotry, discrimination etc including classifying ideological notions of inferiority as racism even among people of the same race.

seems to me that the issue of racism, specifically in america, is being redefined as we recognize the systemic effects of social policies from the 60s/70s. the definition of racism has broadened to reflect how racism manifests in minorities' daily existence as opposed to specific racist acts and ultimately slavery, as it was generationso back. personally, i don't think there are too many 'whites are the superior race - let's do something to put minorities in their place' americans out and about anymore. racism now isn't the same as it was 20 years ago or 40 - it has evolved with social policy over time.

I'm sorry but if someone doesn't believe another race is inferior...its no longer racism! Its bigotry or what have you, but you have completely hollowed out the very meaning of the word.

heavy word in the united states to be contained to a single pov, i don't think acknowledging that fact takes away from the meaning of the word given what the american culture adds to it.

I'm really shaking my head here to be honest. The definition of a term isn't defined by a point of view. The wikipedia only reinforces the accepted definition.

Hopefully this link helps:

Racism for all

“If you know the enemy and know yourself, you need not fear the result of a hundred battles. If you know yourself but not the enemy, for every victory gained you will also suffer a defeat. If you know neither the enemy nor yourself, you will succumb in every battle.”
