For everyone that said i already had my mind made up, you will be glad to know that today i emailed my Fiancee' and told her the relationship had ended. For the selfish ones who were angry because we were ahead of you for a K-1 Visa, I HOPE YOUR MARRIAGE GOES TO HELL!!! As I went through this thread I could barely believe my eyes. Being 62, I would have expected you to be giving persons on this site advice on their relationships and not the other way around. The relationship failed and it is not the fault of anyone here who posted. So why are you upset with them? I suspect that you might have preferred it if you had gotten bad advice.

Man, you are 62. You should be demonstrating your level of experience. It might be the first step in getting into a meaningful relationship. It will surely bring you respect. Stop acting like you're 6+2. Behave yourself!!!

Thanks for all your opinions and thoughtfulness. I would like to add that i do have a copy of her divorce papers which i submitted one with the I-129F. But the copy i have is illegible & USCIS says i have to translate it into English so i asked her for a more legible copy which she has not sent. She is going to school full time & i wonder why if she plans to come to USA, she just enrolled for two months. She has not beat me out of any money to date and when i visited her in 11/06, she was very frugal with my money. But when i met her in 02/07, she seemed like a spender wanting a $1,200 dress. She settled for a $300 blouse, which is still a lot of money, but she was not happy. I also know she doesn't love me yet, but she has a 14 y.o. son and said she wanted a Dad for him, so i am hoping she will learn to love me. Thought i would add some more infor, it is hard to tell the whole story in one post. thanks again everyone, i am needing some encouragement to continue. But i am coming to realize that it may be a lost cause.

WHOA. I have to agree with all the other posters on this one. A $300 blouse? That's ridiculous! She definitely sounds like she is trying to commit visa fraud, and usually I'm not so quick to think so when someone posts about a questionable situation here. No woman who truly cares about you would expect you to buy her things like that. And if you remain with her it is not going to stop but get worse. If I were you I'd forget about her. She's using you and does not love you.

I did not realize everyone got divided into category here. Which category do you fall under?

I gave this a lot of thought about what I posted on this topic. I know I'm not selfish. I understand this process is "first come, first serve". No use complaining. It's not going to get me to the front any faster. I believe I did make the criteria for #2, the "dirty" poster. I did compare this relationship to the "Titantic". But I only got half of #3, one who offered advice.

I don't know if I am a nice person or a JERK. I am going to sit myself in the corner and think about this. Which one are you?

Boy oh boy, wishing someone for their marriage to be hell is the worst thing anyone can say. You are 62 and should have been more experienced with your life and learned how to keep your mouth shut. By now it's time you grew up and became a smarter and a wiser man. It's a SHAME you would wish anyone that.

No one was wishing your and your finacee a hell marriage, you came here asking for advice and people just stated their opinion and the red flag that they see. Instead of saying "thanks guys, you saved me from another pain" you accused everyone wishing hell and telling them to kiss your behind. SHAME ON YOU!

P.S. maybe becasue of many "dirty posts" or whatever you want to call them you thought about it and made the decision that you did, so you should be here thanking us and not cursing us. Many of us opened your eyes and saved your from a bigger pain.

Age doesn't matter when it comes to love. One should not be ashamed if she/ he has fallen in love to a younger one.

With regards to the problem that you're facing, I guess you are the only person who can solve it. With your wisdom and experience , you will be able to come up with a sound decision . If you think YOUR WOMAN LOVES YOU. Then go for it. It's your life. If you realized you made a mistake at the end, then nurse your broken heart and soul silently.

You were asking if it is ok to take back the money you gave her. My question is what was the purpose of giving her the money. Was it for payment for sex? a gift? a bribe? If it is a gift, then it should not be taken back unless the woman return it. If it is payment for sex, then it should be taken back , coz there was no sex happen.

If the woman was angry because you have not bought the dress for her, I guess she is a very shallow person. She must understand that money is hard to find and it is impratical to buy such an expensive dress. Unless it is her wedding gown.

Thank you...I think it's like the fist normal reasonable thought. Give this guy a break please...u dont know what u would've done and said if u were in his situation. I actually felt sorry for you when I first read your post, but now I feel REALLY sorry for you, sorry that you have to make nasty comments to other people on this forum. I agree everything about this topic is very sad! The name of it, "Need HELP with your opinions!!!!!!". The original poster received more "opinions" then he ever wanted to hear. Looking at his responses during this whole thread, he was plagued with guilt, confusion, and was disillusioned about a relationship that did not have any foundation to stand on or to be built. It was missing the main ingredient, love and obviously, understanding.

He's 62 and afraid or does not like being by himself alone. It is not the end of the world! He will find someone who does not take advantage of his generous nature and will not insist of purchasing expensive items for them. My father is 76 and he's got himself a girlfriend in the Philippines! If he can do it, there's no reason why you can't do it also! It's not the end of the world. Running around with a crappy attitude certainly won't help the situation.

Personally, I think he did the right thing by ending it. I had encountered a similiar lady like the one he was describing. I was fortunate to have the sense to end it fast. I knew where it was headed. It was doomed and there was no need to try to continue a relationship that would have made me miserable.
