I-864. Living abroad. To be employed or unemployed?

Hey guys! I'm about to send off my documents for the NVC. Now I've heard plenty of different things when it comes to income. So far I put $0 as far as income goes because it's a foreign income and below the tax threshold. Now.... I've also heard we should put unemployed. Someone once said:

"Indicate unemployed with zero income. You can add a note that your income will not continue. Under current income, (See part 6.5 of the instructions.) you are instructed to enter the total income YOU ARE USING TO QUALIFY.... Since you are using none of your income to qualify, it is correctly entered as zero already. Since your employment will not continue from the same source, it is unintuitive but correct to indicate "unemployed"."

Is this correct? And if I put unemployed, wouldn't this conflict with a letter I wrote to USCIS mentioning I work abroad? Can they deny my wife at the interview for this for misinterpretation? (I'm going to be present at the interview.)

Secondly. I have a tax transcript from 2013. I have two joint sponsors. Do they focus on my affidavit or since my joint sponsors have all their necessary documentation, they don't focus as much on my form I-874 as my joint sponsors have their 3 year tax returns?

We are in the same boat... We wrote the name of my husband's employer on the form I-864 and wrote 0 as annual income... we were not sure about what to write there so we just took the risk :/ we explained on the last page that it was a temporary job here in Colombia... We didn't want to write unemployed since in all the other documents we had talked about his job here....So I guess we will see....

My usc husband works and lives in Sweden and we put his profession, since he is not unemployed, and we filed his taxes by filling out forms 1040 and 2555-EZ and that made his income $0

I guess I'll have to file foreign income. How long does this stuff take? Do I have to send a form to the IRS?

Another question: If our gross income is below the threshold we don't need to file taxes. Does this apply for foreign currency as well? The dollar value is far above my current foreign currency, the Real, if I received in real and my income is below threshold.... I don't need to file, do I?
