It's easier to think about this complex issue if you just group them all as "the illegals," isn't it, GEG?

Public education is about everyone getting a chance, or at least it was before tuition began rising. Since you can only think about this issue from a selfish two-dimensional perspective, don't you think it's in a society's best interest to educate its poorest elements? Those kids are not realisiically leaving the country.

They ARE all illegals, Alex. If they can go to college, they can go home.

If they have an idea to find the most economical means of migrating current fuel infrastructure to favor the Green Peace movement, or if they have a rudimentary idea of how to alter our cancerous cells to fix itself, or if they are smart. I would love them to goto my University.

I also know that upon graduation, everyone will need not only compete nationally for jobs, but globally as well because employers are looking at India, China, Japan for employees. They can file I-129, not I-129F for workers and they can also take your jobs! You see, illegals or not legal it makes no difference. The point here is that the only way the world can become a better place is for more educated people. You know what I find that is strangely disturbing. It's that I see Columbine, I see recent high school shootings, and I thought to myself that those kids don't need school they need to be detained at a detention facility. There are more teens now that are openly pushing their expression of hatred physically. This is bad for the United States. Then, the question asks why is that the US educational system is behind other highly developed countries. Hmm...Well, maybe I miss my point. Anyway, the US need to be strong in favor of innovation and favor their people or those who already in it to focus on school and University to spread ideas that may help everyone else. That's what I believe should happen.

Then, the question asks why is that the US educational system is behind other highly developed countries.

It used to be the best, but was ruined by the very thing being advocated now, lowering the system to conform to its lowest common denominator.

So by lowest common denominator, you mean "the illegals" in this case, right? Does that mean you think they're less intelligent because they're here? What exactly makes them inferior, in your opinion?

Yeah. The lowest common denominator is not the children. It's the people who raised these children. Then their seclusion spreads that culture to grow and eat up the innocent in them destroying their view of the world. The lowest common denominator can be those who live comfortably in the US with mommy, and daddy supporting them and decide not to pursue higher education. When people experience cultural and social adversity, it gives them a certain kind of stress that makes them stronger mentally. Some may break under those pressure and ruin things. Most will certainly overcome it, and conquer it because they know that in order to make things better they must do what they do.

I, originally, like to see people are morons and imbeciles no matter what they are a few years ago because of their actions. After I came back from Cambodia on a trip, I look at the US differently than before. Sure, everyone don't deny when asked, " Do you want to help the kids in another country who has no mother, father but want to go to school? " Everyone in the room would replied, " Of, course we do. " However, in their hearts at the thought that these kids maybe illegal aliens inflame their rage of hatred towards that idea. Very sad. The young ones from those poverish nations seems to be more mature, and more motivated to goto school than the citizens who lives in the States.

Peace to All creatures great and small............................................

But when we turn to the Hebrew literature, we do not find such jokes about the donkey. Rather the animal is known for its strength and its loyalty to its master (Genesis 49:14; Numbers 22:30).

Does the OP work for Numbers USA or something???

I just pass along some of the emails I get.

Public education is about everyone getting a chance

I agree ALMOST... it's about people WHO PAY TAXES and THEIR CHILDREN getting a chance. I will never be for a system that benefits those that don't share in the burden and contribute to the system.

How to you know they don't pay taxes? I had many students who were illegal -- they all had ITN numbers to pay their taxes - and had taxes taken out of their paychecks.

Do you know why the Federal Government give grants, and subsidized Loans to students? They know that when the students graduate, for every dollar the US government spent on them they would get 7 dollars back. Atleast, that's true for my school. Recent financial analysis show local business in my area started by alumni of my University revealed those numbers. I can only imagine the amount of funding these smart kids get from the government. If you look at how it works, it benefits the government more than it benefits the students.

Not to mention that it helps the US deficit alot as well.

The children are being raised by criminals. I see no reason to treat them better because their families are criminals.

The true nature of people comes out when something is opposed strongly. You'll come to realization that a parent who is abusive may raise kids who knows better, and some who may become delinquints.

That goes both ways. Some are all about income redistribution here, and some aren't.

What part of being brought into the country illegally at a very young age makes you think the children are responsible and should be treated like criminals too? They had no choice. Jeez.

They're not victims. They're here illegally. They should be deported with their parents. Simple as that.
