Hi everyone

Firstly, I wish you all the best of luck. Secondly, I am embarking on petitioning for my husband and have a random question on the location of his interview

He is a british citizen who currently has a 2 year contract, might be extended, in Kazakhstan (1 year has already passed).

Of course we're listing his employment and residence addresses in the application, will that mean that his interview will be in the US consulate in Kazakhstan? In other words, is the interview in the country of residence or country of citizenship.

Also, I am pretty sure that we're not supposed to fill out Q.22 on form I-130 since he is not in the US and is not applying for adjustment of status, just need a confirmation

Many thanks in advance

Best

Well he could choose. Depends on the timing.

Has he met Borat?

Hi,

When you say he could choose, is that when I file I-130? and where do we indicate that? Also, what do you mean by timing? as in processing time in KZ vs UK?

Lastly, no we haven't met him and wouldn't dare to ask lol

Thanks heaps

Where does he expect to be at the time of the interview?

Then go with KZ.

“If you know the enemy and know yourself, you need not fear the result of a hundred battles. If you know yourself but not the enemy, for every victory gained you will also suffer a defeat. If you know neither the enemy nor yourself, you will succumb in every battle.”
