Hi just wanna ask any idea, knowledge and learnings to whom pass filing AOS I'm just new here in usa got married to k1 visa but havent yet applied aos.

I'm just confuse, doubt if immigration ask a proof but we dont have any marital assets in behalf of me as I sign a nuptial before married and any joint account and other names in bills on my behalf can this be affect on immigration but we have lots of pictures but no honeymoon pics: ( plus. Help any idea will be appreciated.

Hi,

In the coming years you will definitely be asked to show co-mingling of finances, both for AOS and certainly for ROC. Joint lease/mortgage, joint bank accounts, bills, insurance etc. Read the guides. If you can't present this, it will be a problem for you.

Pre-nups are OK, but you need to show that you also have a life together where you have joint responsibility and trust in financial and legal matters.

A few people on here have been approved for AOS without showing evidence/interview, but this is random and you shouldn't count on it.

For ROC, you definitely need this type of evidence. No way around it. A lot of people get RFE for not submitting enough financial co-mingling evidence.

As I understand, you are newlyweds - meaning you have some time to collect evidence. But don't delay too long :-)

Doubts? You need to prove that your have a bona fide marriage. During the process you need to show that you have an actual "married" life; not just living together. can you imagine going to the interview with a husband having doubts on you?

It is not rare to be approved for AOS without showing any proof of marriage besides a copy of the marriage certificate. It happens all the time. A copy of the marriage certificate is all that is required for filing the I-485. Many people adjusting from a K-1 do not have an interview, and are never asked for anything else before approval. IF you have an interview, they may want to see at least a little bit of co-mingling/habitation evidence, but sometimes not even then.

As for ROC, you will definitely need proof of co-mingling finances and co-habitation to be approved, and you will need to provide evidence of that for the entire span of your marriage.
