Which NVC data set do I look at?

I am a U.S. citizen living abroad with my German wife. We don't live in Germany, though, we live in Costa Rica. We have filed for a CR1 using form I130. I was looking at some of the stats on Visa Journey, and it said that the average days between NOA2 and interview for German beneficiaries is 240 days. It also said the average days between NOA2 and interview when interviewing at the embassy in Costa Rica is 114. I'd like to get back to the USA as soon as possible (I'm not leaving without her!) so I like that second number much better. Which dataset do you think applies to me? I think it'd be the consulate dataset, but that's really just a guess.

I have an NOA1 date of 12/4 at the NSC, so based on the other timelines posted I'm hoping for NOA2 pretty soon.

Being German or Costa Rican has nothing to do with how you are processed. You need to be looking at processing times for Nebraska. Currently they are at about 5 to 6 months. That's for the approval.

If you filled out you timeline loo at the estimate it gives when you may get approved by. Its a pretty accurate guesstimate.

Next after USCIS approval you go to NVC for about 2 1/2 months to 4 months. Depends how proactive you are. Here's the wiki to read before you get approval. http://www.visajourney.com/wiki/index.php/NVC_Process

Then you get Case Complete when all processing is done and accepted at NVC.

Than you wait for an interview,

So hopefully you should have approval (NOA2) about end of May or beginning of June. Then maybe done at NVC about September than a November, December interview.

It's usually 10 to 12 month process from Petition filing to Interview done.

I'm specifically looking at the NVC to interview time period. The timeline says I should get the NOA2 between April 13 and April 18. The timelines say applications at NSC with NOA1 date of Nov 30 are currently getting processed, so I'm only a few days behind that with Dec 4.

I suppose the NVC time is going to be partially based on how proactive I am (I will be very proactive) but then the time it takes to go from NVC to the consulate, and then how much time it actually takes at the consulate will depend on which consulate it's at, no?

You are interviewing in San Jose right. maybe a 4 to 6 week wait just depends when you get Case Complete.
