All the one I have come across wanted to know your address.

True. I posed a question to my husband today though.. if the USC signed the foreign fiancé up for private health insurance before they entered the states (by filling out the form with the address they will be using in the states) how would the insurer really know? It's probably not legal or at least something you shouldn't do under the terms of coverage.. but it was interesting if anyone has actually received coverage before entering the US in that way.

I was covered from the date of marriage and I only immigrated 20 months later or so. Husband's employer was/is paying for it all, so there was no cost or downside to us doing it as soon as possible. Edited by Lemonslice
