Hubby and I just got back from his interview in Ghana. Unfortunately, he was denied due to -221(g)...not sure why because we had tons of evidence for a bona fide relationship...husband said interview went well, he answered everything correctly...right now we both are horrified because we were confident that we would get his visa.

We will write a review later when we settle down...I have contacted my senator office who has been assisting us from the beginning and she will contact the Embassy to get more details about why visa was denied.

According to my husband, the woman that interviewed him was very rude and impatient...her initials looks like KM...she didn't give him an explanation of the denial but only said if your wife feels that the marriage is real she can contact USCIS and have the case sent back to them. He ask her again, why she is denying the visa and he said she just got up and left with no explanation.

Unfortunately, the rules has change in Ghana...petitioner is not allow to enter the building anymore due to security reasons(according to guard family member (petitioner) would cause problems if their case was denied).

I will file a complaint in reference to this for a supervisor to review our case.

Thanks so much for you guys help during this difficult and stressful journey

It seems Ghana is becoming even more difficult with immigration lately.

But the question stands on what evidence was provided. That is the first place to look at.

Every thing was so organized...I must say we spent a lot of time in preparation, doing mock interviews...hubby knew everything on the forms we submitted...including exact dates and all...he know more about me than I know about me...we spend so much quality time together on phone, skype and whatsapps when I am not visiting him in Ghana...we are just shocked about the entire outcome.

We will be together no matter what...even if I have to move to Ghana, nothing will keep us apart that is for sure

Really really I think it's high time Ghanaian members petition the embassy on all of this denials.. It's just not fair.. These Dracula consular officers think they are God.. To hell with them and may they suffer same fate they inflict on people

This is just ridiculous. You guys had tons of evidence and yet got denied? I truly believe this is a rip off scheme, if everything you said is true and there's no side story.

What's up with these folks at the embassy?

Cards, affidavits and chats are all secondary evidence. Do you guys own anything together in Ghana or anything like that? I really cannot imagine how difficult this must be I'm sorry ?

Looks like nothing is ever enough.

Did you get married on the first time you met face to face in 2015? This has been a historic "red flag" in Ghana CR-1's. The other large rate of denial's for a "red flag" seem to be American woman much older that Ghanaian man. Haven't seen one of these cases on VJ been approved from Ghana being on this site over 2 years. Close to 100% denial on these two factors. Stay strong, your journey has at least a year or two until the possibility of a second interview. I am sorry for the bad news.
