At the advice of our immigration attorney we didn't delay submitting our I-485 while we finished the requirements for the I-693. Now I am regretting doing that as if we would have just waited a few more weeks we could have sent everything in together. The concern being now there could be delays or an RFE or even worse the signed I 693 getting lost after submitted. On my cover letter for the 485 I stated the completed 693 would be brought to the interview but now I am thinking that might not be an option or not the best way to handle it as we have 5 or 6 months now to submit after the acceptance of the 485 today.

Question... Would it be better to send in the completed 693 beforehand with a copy of the receipt acceptance letter or hold of to see if an RFE comes (which I am trying to avoid of course) and if not just take it to interview? The best advice I have gotten on the process, even above a hired attorney, has come from people here and so wanted to see what you all thought about it.

Thanks in advance for your help.

Robert

If you are adjusting from a K-1, then you may not even have an interview. Did you have all the required vaccinations marked off on a DS-3025 when you had your medical abroad? If so, you should not need another medical and an I-693. It is possible to be asked for one, but I would wait until asked through an RFE or at an interview, if you should have one.
