Hello,my visa was rejected on basis of 214b from delhi in the starting of this month. Can i reapply next month from chennai.??

Main concern was that my hubby is a Canadian pr and i am waiting for my pr. Vo said i do not show strong ties to country!!.

I was going to usa for one month training (observership) and for exam step 2 cs ( which can only be taken in usa) I am a doctor.

If i get canadain pr why would i want to settle for usa and leaving my hubby in canada??

Doing further studies in usa is easier as compared to canada.thats why i planned for usa.

Plz advice me about my situation.

I left my job 5 months back for study purpose. Joined a clinic a month ago

. I had all documents including invitation letters.

You can apply again any time you want, but unless the material circumstances for the previous denial have changed, you are unlikely to get a different result. You need to show stronger evidence that you will depart the USA at the end of your intended stay.

You do know they'll see your recent visa denial no matter which consulate you go to, right?

It's a common misperception.. in the hopes of a more sympathetic VO at a different Consulate. Numerous India-centric websites cater to similar Consulate shoppers trying for "the best odds" of approval following a denial.

Why not go to Canada, that seemingly is where you will be moving to?

First off, if you are getting canadian PR, why would you want to do observership in the US? Why not Canada?

If you give the USMLE in USA, and then continue to residency, then you would get licensed as a physician in the US, not the Canada. You need to give a whole set of exams in Canada to be licensed.

So your explanation of why you planned for US studies makes no sense when you are eventually settling in the Canada, but want to do observership in the USA?

Thanks. This time i will just say that i want to go to US for exam purpose for 5 days. I have cancelled my observership plan.

Hope they accept my application at chennai.

Why do you want to give USMLE if you want to eventually settle in the Canada?

Dont you know you cannot practise in Canada if you do your USMLE/residency in the US?

And getting residency in the US is one of the hardest things.

Though it may not be fishy but the way u presented yourself sounds fishy...you can apply again but you will get the same result...in your case it is really hard to prove strong ties to the country.

Ok. First of all, As I already said I am waiting for my Canadian pr. Once i get it, i ll go there and do observership or research work etc there.

Second, I am also taking Canadian medical exams along with USMLE. i have already cleared MCCEE.

Third, Usa residency is accepted worldwide.

I can work with my Usa residency degree in canada if i have cleared all Canadian licensing exams(i have cleared 1 out of 4 )till now with few months extra training in canada, depending upon provinces.

Getting Canadian medical residency is nearly impossible like 5-10% chances.

Usa it s like 40-50% chances.

I appreciate everyone who replied to me. THANKS.

You will be wasting your money but you could apply,

everything is in the computer it matter not if you do

consular shopping, they figure if its so then wait

for you Canadian landing permission to do more

studies in Canada since that's where you would live,

they denied you base on convo & docs you presented

and decided you would not depart the US = 214B

Why don't you want to do this in Canada near your husband?

I am trying for medical residency in both Canada and USA. Canadian medical residency is almost impossible to get and I do want to work in Canada as a doctor. USA residency will help me to work as a specialised doctor in Canada. I am just trying to finish all medical licencing exams fast.
