I just checked my email and was excited to see an email from USCIS about my case at Vermont and they need more evidence. :( I think they hated the petition because my fiance decided to use a million paperclips to keep everything together. :bonk: lol. I told him not to but he did anyway. What have other people gotten RFE's for? I'll be sure to post what mine is, when I learn what it is, to help others avoid the same fate.

Paper clips are not a good thing but you shouldn't receive an RFE for it. They are usually fairly easy to correct so relax until you get the actual letter. good luck

Ours was for not sending the original G-325A's. We sent photocopies, and they wanted originals with original signatures on all 4 copies for both of us. We just reprinted them, signed them, and sent them back in the envelope they provided, and we were approved shortly thereafter.

Good luck.

I dont' see how Ana Castro is laughing about paperclips. It's not that funny?

Anyway,

I hardly doubt it they issued you a RFE for using too much paperclips. Chances are a missed signature or something like that.

I dont think that the rfe was for the paperclips. I just think it made them hate our petition. I spent soo much time reading up on things and such that I'm a little surprised. It must be from something my fiance did on his work.

Oh and one thing. Remember to have the fiance sign the check before the send it. They sent back the petition when they recieved it because of that which put 2 week delay on our noa1 date. They said they would put it back into line where it was before once the signed check was received, but they didn't since the date was 2 weeks later. So now I have to wait on another delay.

you can laugh at the paperclips. I think its funny. I can just imagine what it would have looked like. Thanks for the support everyone.

We had an RFE because we sent a short form birth certificate for my fiance (I told him 20 times it was the wrong kind but he swore it has been used for everything he's ever done, military, schools, passport etcetc). We got another one after a lot of messing around, and then they didn't get our first RFE, my fiance called them and we sent it again, 3 days after they got it we got NOA2.

It seems that generally you get approved quickly after they get your RFE.

Sorry to hear about the set back but it is just a temporary situation...you will get it fixed in no time once you know what is it exactly that they are looking for...good luck,

Dorothy

an rfe usually means that an approval is close..................you are really lucky that they have even looked at your petition, you only sent it in a month ago. I say it's probably something silly like a missed signature.

Maybe the person working on your petition was out of paperclips and needed them anyways. I hope it's nothing major and easy to fix and that your application processes quickly.

The waiting for the RFE is the worst. I spent a week and a half waiting for the snail mail letter, and wracking my brain about what we might've forgotten.

It turns out they wanted more proof that we'd met in person in the last two years. I'd sent a fair amount of proof already, but there you have it. That was a bit of a hassle, but I sent back my RFE packet today.

Conditions Removed! Ten-year green card received 6/24/2009. No more USCIS for a very long time.
