My husband and I have joint accounts right away after we married. However he mentioned to me that it is better if I can build my credit too and have my own checking account, I will need one especially after I get a job, employers have to banked it in there. I think to get both of us with credit scores, it will be easier to get home loans together and sharing our financial burdens. I guess your husband thinks the same like what my husband thought.

Ultimately, I need a job :( and pass my driving test, I'm not sure when I am ready to take my DL, people in Georgia don't signal! You can see accidents everyday in Atlanta.

Yes they do!! Sometimes I hate when I drive on the freeway but I'm fine though it irritates me I can drive the first 30 days I'm there and then not for the next 3 months it just doesn't make any sense what so ever but rules are rules so it's just the way it is.

Oh hey Georgia16, noticed that your interview is coming, good luck with everything!

I found some good deals for eggs while shopping for groceries, Wayfield supermarket seems to sell alot cheaper for eggs, bought 30 eggs for 3 dollars! Alot cheaper than walmart or anywhere!

I also found out that there is an open container law in Georgia, where we are not allowed to drink alcohol content drinks in public and cars. Still trying to figure out more about the state. Oh yesh, I just went to Stone Mountain recently, the laser show was amazing but its cold! I managed to climbed all thway up the mountain haha..i think its the most strenuous exercise I have ever done in my life! I'm a lazy couch potato.

Im quite shock to see this banner near my area: found someone posted on instagram

Hey, thank you so much. It'll be great to get the interview over and just move forward!

I do grocery shopping at Kroger :) But yes that was cheap for eggs though.

About the banner, unfortunately there will be people there always will be against something (also other thing then the banner) ... Luckily most people can see through this...

Glad you had a fun time at Stone Mountain, we haven't been there yet but will go there at some point. Have you been to the Botanical Garden yet? If not you should definitely try that. We love it there.

Yeap Im looking forward to my husband's next next off day, we will be visiting botanical garden. I'm so angry at myself right now, I broke my phone and it smashed its screen on the cement floor at my apartment corridor. Phones in Georgia is insanely expensive without plans since i have 0 credit unless sign with husband's name which I don't really like that. Does phone plans actually help in building credit score anw? I'm using xperia z3 phone, its not available in US unless purchase online through newegg/bestbuy, im so mad at myself right now!

Have you tried to google what it'll cost to get the screen fixed on it?

Yeap I called a few repair stores and they are charging at 183dollars. That's kinda absurb. Phones are actually quite expensive in here as compared to my country where most of us change our phones once a year. I'm going to get my parents to bring it back to Singapore to repair it since its cheaper there and when I visit next year, I'll bring back to US and sell it lol.

Just ordered a new phone through oppomart (US website that sells unlocked phones that are not available in States), its alot cheaper than Samsung, Apple. Bought it for 395usd.

Anyone whose interested, Georgia is blooming in movie industry now, you might want to give this a try while waiting for green card! Unfortunately I dont have any head shots :(

Gm all, I'm finally leaving in a week?it has been a hectic time. Getting things done but I am finally in the last stage to the beginning of my life with a wonderful man.

Does anyone know if it is a requirement getting the influenza shot? I was told at my medical that it is a requirement for entering the US.

Oh yes it will be in Atlanta. I'm am worried because I was told here that I don't need the influenza shot to enter the country but then I am told by my medical practioncer at the hospital I would need to or else I will have issues entering the US. So I'm worried. As its not available at all the hospitals in the island where I check?

It's really not. Neither of us has it. It's inly giving in flu season be the doctors and looked at at AOS if you had your medical doing flu season. There are no vaccines required for the K-1 process but there is for AOS (not flu when out of season) don't worry about that :)
