Oh wow?I'm so so looking forward those adventures. It's great when you can laugh about things like that.

Those are some crazy experiences lol. #2 sounds scary. That is one of the reasons why I am always scared of eating out lol.

Those are some great activities to look forward to. My kinda things to do?

Well we will be living in Georgia BUT we really want to get out of there but we can't unless he gets a transfer with his job first.

If he gets that then he has a job in the state we move to then we go down there for house hunting for a week, and then everything gets pack by a moving company when the moving date comes and we'll drive there with the car :)

Hey all...I was just scrolling through the site and came across this thread. Although I am not a K-1 petitioner, I find that all the information posted will be most helpful for my husband who hopefully will be migrating from JA to HOT 'Lanta too (we suburbs). We are scheduled for the interview next month. But me being a "planner" what make sure that we have as many ducks in a row as possible. I've absorbed alot just reading through this...and got a great idea for assisting him to acclimate to some degree...any transition is going to have its challenges...very useful information.

Hey guys, so here are some supermarkets where I visit often to buy my groceries:

1) Walmart

2) H-mart (Korean supermarket, lately I'm seeing alot of Jamaicans visiting this mart)

3) City Farmer's Market (Vietnamese supermarket where you can get all asian food)

4) Great Wall (Chinese supermarket)

5) Assi Supermarket (Korean supermarket)

6) Whole Foods Market (Organic food but costly, beware of the NO PRICE TAGS items)

7) Megamart (Korean supermarket)

8) Kroger

9) Sam's Club

10) Ingles Supermarket

11) Hongkong Supermarket (Vietnamese supermarket)

12) Publix

13) Tempe Doele ( Indonesian mini mart)

14) Tomato (Japanese mini mart)

Usually I will buy household stuffs and bread in Walmart, for pork and beef, I buy them at H mart, its fresh there, and for chicken I buy them at H-mart or Walmart. For vegetables and fruits usually Chinese supermarket, and sauces in Vietnamese or Japanese or Indo.

You guys are a life saving. I am crazy picky with where I buy food and eating so these are some fantastic suggestions. I believe I heard my fiance mention the City farmer's Market?

I am fruit person and i make a lots of smoothie so getting them fresh is a plus for me.

I'm a fruits person too and unfortunately ever since I moved here, I stopped juicing or making smoothies. I don't have a blender yet, but about to order Breville slow juicer and a blender.

The price of smoothies in Georgia is quite expensive! Smoothie King's smoothies are full of sugar, not recommended.

I didnt know Kroger's give you points for cheaper gas! That's something I definitely gonna check out on!

I've started baking lately, other than walmart, I'm still trying to figure out where to get more baking stuffs.

Oh yesh, Im also trying to find out Georgia's food trucks! I heard from our friends that they're good. I went once to http://atlantafoodtruckpark.com/ but its quiet and kinda sad.

By the way its BURGER WEEK, check out the burgers! http://www.atlanta.net/events/detail/atl-burger-week/101944/

Last day today!

Has anyone visited Savannah? I'm planning on a road trip with my parents and husband. Any idea which hotel's better and budget? We are looking at Hilton Garden Inn atm, the rests are alot more expensive.

Also the itinerary! We totally had no idea which site to visit first.

Oh God, how was the haunted tours? Are they really haunted?I'm kinda scared but my husband is curious..which plantation is that? I'm gonna write it down!

By the way, are foreign seniors entitled to Senior prices for tourist sites? Cos both my parents are over 65, and I hope we do get some discounts!

What about air tickets, groceries, restaurants, etc?

Cool that will be on my list too! Eerie is not my thing, definitely not going there during night time.

I got my actual Learner's permit cum State ID yesterday, it takes them 1 week to process and send it to me. I was given a temp paper state ID (previous state ID expired in Jan when I-94 ends) when I passed my written test.

Oh yes Vennie and anyone else whose flying over from K1, Qatar airways will be starting to fly to ATL from June 1st, more choices on the planes for us!
