Hello,

I need a little advice on what you had to do when you were scheduled for your road test? I've been having my German license for 8 years but I might have to practice parallel parking again... :D

Oh, and did your US-spouse had to put you on their car insurance in order for you do drive their car during the test? Or were you put on the car insurance after you got your DL in the mail...

You have to parallel park and back a tiny bit and use turn signal when you turn all that was on a closed corse and then they take you out on the road for like 5 min.

You just have to bring insurance of the car that you take the test on. Also you can't drive the car up to the wait area the person with a valid license that take you to the test will do that and the you guys switch seats and the person have to stay in the car with you until one of the test persons come out and take that spot

Ahhh....the last time that I had to parallel park was when I had the road test for my DL in Germany...it's been 8 years. I might have to practice it a couple of times.

Thanks for the information :)

I hadn't done it for like 12 years and the car I had to do it in was huge but it's not so hard they give you room and it's just between cones. You also have to back in between cones. You can do it no worries

Thanks for the encouragement :)

My husband's car is a Chevrolet Cobalt SS so lucky me.

I will practice it once or twice just to be save...

Hey all, how's everyone doing?

I'm in midst of preparing to move to a new apartment. Just want to ask if anyone of you know other than USCIS, where else do I have to report for address change? Trying to make a list right now.

Thanks in advance!

Congrats on the new apartment!

Immigration wise it's only USCIS you have to give the new address to within 10 days of your move :)

Hey guys, just realized that our Georgia state card actually expires when ur AOS/status expires. dont forget to update them when u get the white extension letter from ROC!

I have 3 more months to pass my driving test before it gets expire, or else i'll have to wait till my extension letter comes. Hopefully will get it by Dec.

I did an update of address via online for USPS, it costs 1 dollar. As for DMV, its free but you have to go there to do it, I tried to access via website but looks like they only do update of address for US citizens.

Learned that we should actually change our address 7 days advance since it takes sometime for them to process. I was worried that they need some sort of verification so I brought the lease with me, DMV only requires your green card for verification.

Weather's getting cold lately! I was wearing shorts and tees the other day and didnt expect the sudden change of weather when it happened, it was 31degs and sudden drop to 13ish!

If you pass your DL now they will give it to you for as long as your GC is good so you'll have to go back with the extension letter and get it renewed again for a year and then back again when the 10 year GC comes. :)

The weather is SO nice love that it has gotten cooler! I did not like the crazy heat!
