Does the fiancee require a passport style photo?

I have mines, but does she need hers, she sent me a picture similar to passport style, but with a "blue" background....sorta like a drivers license picture. I tried to go get this shrunk to 2x2 passport size. However, walgreeds refuse to do it since its against their policy and they say passport photos need a "white" background, not blue. What should I do? Would I get RFEed for this?

This is the only think I know of that is holding this back, please help!

Passport photos need to be white background.

My fiance gave me an older 1.5x2" style photo, with white background and we used that on our I-129F petition. You may hold and get a newer one from her, many photo shops in China do digital pictures, she could get it done that way, and email you the picture, and you can have it printed here, and resized, cropped and cut to 2"x2"

thanks YuAndDan! you are always very helpful to me. I'll get her to send me a digital passport style photo, it'll save her some money to send these things to me....I don't want her to keep wasting money on this, but where would I go to develop the digital passport photo? Sam's Club? FedEX Kinkos?

I don't have a photo printer at home.

I would try Fed-EX Kinkos, they have photo type printers, that you can use your self.

Also If you havent checked out Candle For Love, you may want to visit there, they have excellent advice for working with the consulate in Guangzhou China, much more so than VJ.

We just passed our interview, and CFL was a big help. http://candleforlove.com

When we took our passport style photos in Colombia, they didn't know what we were talking about. Then I saw the list of types of photos they took at the shop and one of them said "US Embassy style photo". That's exactly what we needed and they took it right away. Maybe they have a different name for it in China.

Have her stand against a white wall and someone take her picture using the guidelines linked above. She can email you the photo and you can print and crop and trim until it comes out right. My fiance in England did his by hand because their passport photo services make the wrong size picture. It is totally fine to print it out at home.

Don't forget to write the names on the back of the photos!

Hi,

She can email you a regular digital picture (4X6) with a white background. Then you can go to the epassportphoto site below to have it cropped as a 2X2. You can then email it to Walgreens, CVS or Rite Aid for printing (they charge around 20 cents for 1 sheet of 4 passport photos) and it is ready within 1 hour. The quality is great.
