Worried no more patience instead.... :)

yes, but what exactly do we have to do after receiving noa1? should he verify it? I dont think he did anything after receiving it. also, when I tracked the receipt number it said that the priority date is April 3 and now its just taking so long

Don't worry. There's no actions required from either of you before you receive NOA2 (or RFE). Seems like waiting time between NOA1 and NOA2 is currently approx 50 days, but sometimes longer (randomly based on CO's, don't try to look for patterns).

If it isn't difficult, it isn't worth it.

This entire process is about patience. At times it feels like eternity to hear back from USCIS/NVC/USEM. USCIS states that it can take up to 5 months to adjudicate your application from NOA1. There is not much you can do till you are approved, then once approved you will see that you will be very busy getting documents together, completing your medical and then your interview.

For guidance on "what's next" I have a website that walks you through step by step. See the link below at the red twisting arrow. The information there is FREE.

It's been more than a month since my fiance received the NOA1 .. And I've read somewhere that it only takes a month for it. Should we be worried?

Did you read the 1 month info on the USCIS website?

One USCIS it states averages processing times for the I-129F is 5 months. https://egov.uscis.gov/cris/processingTimesDisplay.do

You have time to learn a new drinking song or two!

It is good to take some time and read up on things here on the Philippines forum.

Take a deep breath and relax. There's nothing you need to do except wait. With any luck, your petition should be approved in less than five months. Good luck!
