I am all for helping but I wasn't aware it was in 'the rules' that I reply to others.... :blink:

Maybe not for cruel mean people! The rest of us are kind and believe in giving back to others! I wonder sometimes why do you come on this board to be sooooo evil??? :angry::angry::angry:

I do come back, there are a lot of friendly people around here, so it feels like a community since we all went through the same thing, it can be moral support, jokes, people driving others crazy, you get all kind, and also we can pass on our personal experience to others that are going through the same phase we went through. The good thing about this site, almost at EVERY STAGE of the process you will find several people who are going through or have been through that stage, and you can gain valuable insights, from the embassy, nearby hotels, interviews.

I just came back to this thread b/c I've nothing left to do at work and wow....what the heck?! This seemed such a non-anger-inducing thread! LOL.

Where did the person say it was a RULE to come back? I didn't even get that implication at all. Maybe you were reading in way more than what was there. That happens A LOT when we are simply reading words and not hearing the tone in which they are given.

5/23/03: Justin arrives to visit me in IA from SK.
6/7/03: We got married!
8/23/03: Filed I-130 from SK
8/25/03: Phoned border guards & asked if J could escort me back to IA, yes.
8/26/03: Arrive in IA
8/27/03: Went to USCIS local office to ask if J could stay in the US and file papers, yes
2004: I-130 approved!
6/05: Filed AOS/EAD
7/2/05: Rec'd receipt for I-485
8/05: Rec'd RFE for Biometrics
9/9/05: Rec'd RFE for medical
12/2/06: EAD APPROVED!
12/5/06: EAD card rec'd
1/15/06: AOS interview date for 4/11/06 at 11:00 a.m.
4/11/06: APPROVED!!!!!! NO MORE USCIS FOR 10 YEARS!!! WOOHOO!!! 2016...seems more like a page # than a year. Haha.

VJ works because:

1. We have a few experts here. They will answer your difficult questions.

2. There is always someone who has just gone through the step you are dealing with right now. They will answer all those questions that you think are difficult, but in reality are asked a few times a week, or embassy/office/POE specific ones.

So, it's nice to stay for a few months after your final (or semi-final) step.
