Hey everyone! So I'm just sharing this cause I'm passed annoyed with all this.

Here's my timeline:

March 26 2015: Filed form I-751
March 30 2015: USCIS received my form
July 7, 2015: Biometrics appointment

...

after months and months calling I finally got some movement
February 12, 2016: appointment for interview

March 10, 2016: Interview in Memphis, TN

At the interview I was approved! The officer shook my hand and congratulated me!
April 4, 2016: Receiver a letter that my case was transferred to VERMONT (from Cali)

What in the world??

The letter didn't say why i was transferred, just that it was. When I called, they couldn't tell me either even though I talked to a Tier 2 officer. I was told that if I don't hear anything within 6 weeks I have to call back. That would put this mid May!! I decided that on May 1st I will call them and ask for updates and if I still dont get anything, I'll go get an infopass and drive 3 hours to Memphis -.- first, do find out what's going on and second, to get a stamp in my passport because my extension expires by the end of June.

Am I the only one who's just so exhausted from all this? At this point I feel like they want be to go back to Germany....

Contact your congressman or senator's immigration aide - they have direct line with USCIS and can get you answers and green card status update.

Has anyone ever done that and did it actually work?

I have not done it myself but it works. There are things congressional inquiry can't help with such as FBI background checks, already decided petitions, RFEs, etc but if a case has been long pending with no reason, USCIS has to tell them either why or take action immediately.

Well then I guess I'll start writing that letter. This is crazy that people have to do that.

Also, are you still married to your USC spouse? If so, you can file your N-400 (include the NOA1 for your I-751) if you wish. (Although I believe you have to go through some long administrative process first with Germany to keep your German citizenship.)

No, I'm not married anymore. So the N-400 won't happen until 2018 -.-

I'd call the offices first. They will eventually ask for a written consent signed by you to contact uscis on your behalf.

I think it is a beauty of US system that the elected assists people in their issues whether it is an issue with IRS, SSA, or USCIS.
