Hello,

I am petitioning for my brother and his family to come to US. I received letter from the NVC last year saying that we need to do 5 steps. We made a mistake. We submitted the I-864 forms last November, 2015. We had so much going on at the time that it slipped out of our mind to fill the visa application. I did it in March of this year. My question is, will the NVC go back and look at the papers I mailed them last year. What would be the process now? I checked the ceac website, payment is still valid and application is still submitted but under supporting documents it is still showing NA. I need help! Please let me know what I should do. I have contacted NCV via email but I haven't heard anything back.

Thanks for you help in advance :)

The supporting documents will always say 'N/A'. The November documents should still be relevant.

NVC takes months to reply to the e-mail. I would say call NVC to make sure they have everything they need to complete the case. Did you submit all the civil documents?

What is his priority date?

I submitted copies of passport, birth certificates, marriage certificates, but have not submitted PCC yet.

My concern was the lag of 5 months between submission of civil and supporting documents and the visa application...

What is his priority date?

I am not sure... where can I find that information?

No, it should still be fine. They won't review it until all the documents have been received.

You should get the PCC in as soon as possible.

How long will it take to review the items? and if there are any issues, then it will take more time. And I think PCC has validity of 1 year. I was just not sure how long NVC will take, so I have waited to tell my folks in India. What are your suggestions?
