K2 Visa approved but need to delay arrival...options?

K2 Visa was recently approved to bring wife's daughter here from Philippines to US. However, we want to delay until 2018, due to helping her mother in PI (where her daughter currently lives) with the building cost of her new home. Does anyone know what the process would be in either delaying or re-applying for her daughter to come in couple of years?

For 2 years I don't think the K2 would last that long.

You may have to look into CR2 and coordinate the filing (look into approval times) to fall right into the 2 year timeframe.

The thing is if the visa expires mostly after 6 months, they barely look at your case again unless medical condition or something happened. I wouldn't risk that chance and opportunity. It's like they could have given that visa and time to someone who needs it . Just make good research and consult lawyers for opinion

Her K2 visa will expire 6 months from first day of medical. The date of validity is on her Visa. How old is she? Age is a major consideration if you are filing CR2 or if your wife will petition her.

You can just not use the K-2. Then sometime in 2017 you can petition for her as your step-daughter.
