NVC case "Ready" but no Interview date yet

My friend had her NVC case ready since February 12th but she has not received an interview date till now. I believe that the Indian consulate( Mumbai) schedules the interview date and not the applicant. Is she missing something or has there been a terrible delay in the Mumbai Consulate in scheduling interviews?

Just to be clear, your friend submitted her documents, paid all of her fees, completed the DS-261 and DS-260 and was issued a "case complete' status by NVC on February 12th?

This may sound like an obvious question, but has she called them to see if an interview has been scheduled? Mumbai scheduled March case completes already for May interviews. Tell her to call NVC and ask about an interview and mention that she's been waiting since her case was completed in February.

This is what she received on checking the NVC case update. the status was adjusted on April 06 after the initial posting.

The issue here is that if her interview was scheduled wouldn't she have got the interview letter?

Has she called NVC to find out if they did schedule an interview for her? Like previous poster said, if she's CR1, NVC wouldn't have sent it to the Embassy without an interview already being assigned.

I am on the same boat my fiancee petition got approved and was forwarded to the Delhi consulate on 22nd march we still haven't received any correspondence from the embassy. Try calling or email mumbai consulate. Hope we hear something soon keep updating this post. Thank You.

I am wondering if the procedure has changed for CR1 applications where the beneficiary can select a Interview date? She had mentioned that the case was given for expediting but wasn't sure if the request was accepted?

I have attached a snapshot from 'ustraveldocs' showing the available dates for consular appointment, does it mean that she can select a date for the interview?

They will schedule the interview date for immigrant visa, not us, as far as i know. For tourist visa you can select your own date to be interviewed.

The latest development on this issue:

Her husband who is an US citizen had contacted the Consulate (Mumbai) and they said that he could select an interview date. I think this was possible since they had expedited their case.

She did her medical in the first week of May and had her interview on May 12. She was approved during the interview but was told to send over the original I-864 form which was send a week later.

Her visa is under 'Administrative Processing' until the last papers are received.
