Hello everyone. My fiance and I are on a K1 visa process. His most recent IRS value is below the poverty guideline. A couple of weeks ago he is hired to a higher paying job. Our visa application is on it's way to NVC stage. We are getting his mom as a joint sponsor with an annual income of 108,000 USD. She is a registered nurse. But her current bank deposit is only 200USD..she has a property value of 50,000usd and a life insurance of 215,000USD. Will this bank amount be a problem upon my interview? Or do we need to wait til she gets a higher deposit? I need some input. Thanks a lot for your help.

Current and ongoing income is what matters the most. It doesn't matter for assets when she makes over the poverty guidelines.

If income is sufficient, then no need to even list bank amount or assets. I didn't.

Thanks for your response. Did you still get a written statement from the bank?

I only included documentation concerning my income. Nothing from the bank or other stuff. Didn't need it because income was sufficient.
