How can I work as a child of a foreign press representative?

Hello,

me and my family moved to the U.S. last summer and I wanted to start to work a little bit. However, I just came across the following problem:

I'm 17 years old and my parents are both journalists, so we are all here on I-1 visas. I read that as a dependent of an I visa holder, I am not eligible for work in the U.S., except when I get the required permissions. But what exactly are those permissions? Do I really need to apply for another visa just because I want to babysit? I am a student, so I probably won't fall in any of the specific worker categories, but I think that neither any kind of student visa, nor any of the different types of work visas I saw so far really fit my case. Is there even a way for me to work?

Any accompanying or following-to-join spouse and children under the age of 21 may be eligible to apply for an I nonimmigrant visa. If your spouse and/or children apply for visas at a later date, they must submit a copy of your I nonimmigrant visa with their application.
