My NOA1 receive date is February 11th...

According to the VisaJourney K1 Visa historical... K1 Visa petitions with NOA1 date of February 14 are currently being processed for the California Svc center.

Is something likely wrong? I did sign up for Electronic notification. I also have the USCIS app installed. I also have been plugging my USCIS case number into the USCIS case update page...

It still has nothing new to say regarding my case.

The visa journey estimate and stats are based on a small sample set and are accordingly subject to an error window. Each case is individual and might have various factors that delay it. You might have an rfe, you might have been assigned to a slow case manager, etc.

Take the estimate/other people's timelines with a pinch of salt. Don't rely on them so heavily and you won't freak out when you pass their wait time.

It wasn't too long ago when California took the full 5 months and Texas took 8 to 12 months just to get the I-129F

You are right cos I have been waiting 5 months and 1 week for California to process mine.

Now... when it says on the K1 historical page that petitions with NOA1 Date of February 14th are being processed, what does that mean? Does that mean? Doea that mean that I should be receiving my NOA2 anytime now? Does it mean they only just now started processing and have to wait an additional 5 months from this point?

Posted

5 months is the official USCIS timeframe. Be happy with anything less. Fortunately California are still working super fast. A couple of weeks wait is still far better than months or more that others have waited in the past year at other service centres like Texas.

Relying and dwelling on VJ statistics and timelines will only make you more anxious. Largely because VJ shows a very small percentage of the actual petitions USCIS handles and VJ statistics are often incorrect as they're based off user input.

Trust me, I've been in your shoes and it didn't help any. I was stuck at the Texas black hole and got off lucky with a quicker approval than many others I've seen so far in my journey. Approval will come. Try not to dwell and do your best to prepare for the next stages and beyond. Learn everything you can about the entire immigration journey while you have the time, that way when it comes to the next stages you'll be clued up and not frantically reading VJ and asking others what to do etc.

Good luck!

Those dates are only based on VJ members data...

When I got my RFE it was a few weeks after my Visa Journey predicted date. They are guidelines based off what other members put in the data box, which isn't always correct. I know it doesn't help any when people tell you not to worry. But stressing about it isn't going to make it go any faster. When I got my RFE I came off this website for a few weeks and I don't read as many threads as I used to. Mainly because it just adds additional stress to yourself when you keep worrying about what other peoples cases are doing. The majority of the people in the January thread which I am on are booking their medicals ore getting their interviews now. I still don't have my NOA2 because I got an RFE right as my fiance was due to visit and we couldn't mail it back until the beginning of this month. I know it's hard waiting, but you just need to tell yourself that you can not do anything until you know what they are doing with your petition. So keep your mind busy with other things for now, like wedding plans and hobbies. I'm sure you'll be approved soon.

I was just reading some forums where people have been waiting 8-9 months. The dates on here are only estimates, based off of the other members. Every case is different and unique. Some are more complicated than others, and they do not process in the order they receive them. Good luck!

Guys you may wanted to download the USCIS Case tracker App; there is also one for android. There you can see receipt number in order and those numbers approved. You can actually see those around your dates who get approved, RFEd or returned due to incorrect forms. unsigned, etc. Play around with the receipt number and no of result to see othyer WAC around you :)

The App is really cool, I was using it during my NOA 1 to NOA 2 days. CSC is starting to slow down now since maybe due to the build up of cases being transferred since March last year. Still that is faster compared to those stuck in TSC.

Hang on there.. You will get your NOA 2 soon. Good luck

You can't go by "historical information on VJ" as to when your petition should be completed... that information actually means very little. Go by the timeline on the USCIS website, currently that is about 5 months for processing the I-129F... sit back and be patient, you have a lot of waiting to do still.

https://egov.uscis.gov/cris/processingTimesDisplay.do

BTW - the quick processing times for petitions for the Philippines was for typhoon Yolanda... that expedite died some time back.

You could pop over to the Philippines forum and start reading up on the visa application in Manila. http://www.visajourney.com/forums/forum/129-philippines/
