Heyy vj members, quick question ...how long does it take islamabad embassy to schedule interviews? My lawyer said it takes 3-6 months..is that true??? My priority date is feb 2015. My case is at nvc stage now just completed ds260. Kindly help :/ im really worried I didn't know it would take extra 3-6 months

Yeah that's true and can even take longer if placed on Administrative Processing in short AP. search for ppl going on AP in this forum

I believe current priority date is sometime of Nov 2014, considering that your priority date will become current in about 3 months and you will recieve your interview letter sometime in early July. Interview letter is usually issued a month before the actual interview date.

There is no way to expedite it, been there done that, nothing works but only patience.

Islamabad interview process is pretty smooth. Proper documentation, all truth and confidence and you should be good.

My PD was Oct 2014

Interviewed and visa issued but waiting for passport. Interview was just on April 6th, they said passport will be received In 10 business days. inshallah

Keep in touch with your fellow VJ members with same month priority date, it helps a lot.

I don't think there is any topic for Feb 2015 PD yet but there is one for 2015 filers. Check that for updates from everyone.

i cannot track right AFTER interview, before it said passport is still with embassy and now nothing!

I wasn't able to track the passport.. Is there a way to do so? I believe for non immigrant visas yes, but don't know if we can track passport after interview for immigrant visas too.

I was only able to check status on CEAC and it shows "issued" since Thursday. So I am hoping to recieve passport this week.

They don't issue the visa same day. They keep your passport if your application is approved and return via courier to your city once visa is issued and printed on passport. Takes about 10 business days

but you have to be registered before on this site when ur process started. DO NOT register now, just try to track it by putting passport number
