Yes since she's living in Dubai working she follows Dubai processing right? My fiancé is Filipino, but lives in Saudi working so we followed processing for what's needed in Saudi, not the Philipines.

Hi,

Thank you for your reply. I really appreciate it. :)

Yes i'm an ofw. Working in dubai. So i guess i need all my documents to be in red ribbon.

One more question.

Is the USCIS giving enough time to prepare all the documents? Also in interview. are they going to inform you days or one week before your schedule? Im just worried as i am working 10hrs 6days a week. and might not get leave right away aside from my off. also abu dhabi is two to three hours far from here ( dubai) .

Thank you thank you thank you in advance.

Hi, I am also working here in Dubai. My fiance will file our petition this April. :) We just finished the 1-129f packet.

Good luck on your application.

We just went through the entire process in UAE, my fiancee is with me in the US now. She was in Dubai on a visitor visa. I'm pretty sure that somewhere on the petition (I-129F) it asks what country or embassy this will be processed at. It can take several weeks for the petition to be approved, longer if get an RFE.

Once approved, it takes another 10 days for the NVC to generate a number and enter your case in the system. They will send that information to the country/embassy that you chose on your petition. Only once you have that number you can proceed with the process of filling out and submitting your actual application (DS-160) online.

After all that, we had to wait about 3 weeks for the 1st possible interview date at the embassy in Abu Dhabi. The visa was issued and passport ready top be picked up in 5 days.

Hope this helps

hello,

thank you for your response.

I JUST ONLY WANTED TO ASK ANOTHER QUESTION. YOU MENTIONED THAT YOUR FIANCEE JUST WENT INTO PROCESSING VISA AND MY CONGRATZ FOR YOUR SUCCESSFUL PETITION!! :)

MY QUESTION IS, IS ABU DHABI EMBASSY ACCEPTING CASH FOR THE POSSIBLE PAYMENTS THAT I SHOULD PAY. IF SO, IS IT BY DOLLAR CURRENCY OR UAE CURRENCY (DIRHAMS) IS ALSO ALLOWED?

EVERYONE'S RESPONSE IS VERY MUCH APPRECIATED.

THANK YOU.

I can't say for sure because we paid online after we filled out the application. We did this with a credit card. It's best to check the website for the embassy that you want to process your visa through. VJ has many useful links and you can find lots of information about embassies online.

Just to be clear; the petition is completely independent from the application. It is the 1st step in the process and, once approved, basically allows you to proceed with the process and eventually APPLY for a visa. Once you apply for the visa, in whatever country/embassy you chose, the embassy will send you information as to what to do and what to bring.

I believe that most of the time, the payment is taken care of before you go to the interview, and the embassy lists the receipt of payment as a required document to bring to the embassy on the day of the interview

hi just want to know my fiance visa is also on process. already got aproved now just waiting for schedule for interview. i already have a police clearance and nbi clearance but its a old one in 2013. since a came here in uae. do i need a new one? sorry for this i just need some answers

Posted

I read some where that the NBI clearance is only valid for 1 year. I guess that means you will need a more current one.

As far as the police clearance in the UAE; Since it is sort of a background check, it only makes sense that it is somewhat current, meaning for this year. I have doubts that they will accept a 3-year year old police clearance. It's not worth the risk to be sent home for missing or outdated information.
