My fiancee is planning to file the k-1 fiancee visa this coming month and im wondering if what are the requirements i should prepare from my side as i want to be ready. He's from San Francisco california. We first met in fb but already met each other in my country in philippines just last month (march 2016) where he also proposed. . I am now currently working in Dubai and also wondering if its possible to file the petition here in UAE and not necessarily to file it in philippines. If its "yes" is it easy to file here?

Take a look at the K1 guides on this site, that should help you and your fiance prepare.

If you're a legal resident of Dubai, you can interview there. However, the petition is first filed in the US, and thereafter transferred to your local consulate upon approval.

Absolutely you can do the visa process from (UAE) Dubai, when your fiance completes the I-129F he needs to list your address in Dubai as your residence, NVC will then forward the case file to the embassy for Dubai after it is approved by USCIS. No need to return to the Philippines.

Eventually you will need a CENOMAR and NBI for the actual visa application in Dubai, but that is about it.

To answer your question about filing in Dubai, Yes your fiance can petition you while you are working in Dubai. I have a filipina friend working in Dubai for four years, she just went to the interview with her fiance yesterday (4/10/2016) the US Embassy in Abou Dhabi. She was approved. The entire process took her almost 5 months...from the end of November where they started the petition.

During the process, at one point you will need to get Police Clarence from both the Phil and Dubai. Of course this is only one part of the process, for complete instructions just follow what others recommended.

I am a South African and British citizen, but I am currently (and for the past 3 years) a permanent resident in Australia (live and work here).

Am I correct in thinking that it is 100% OK for my fiance and I (she is in America) to be applying with me in Australia, and not from my country of citizenship?

Yes that is fine. My fiance is Filipino, but his country of residence is Saudi Arabi. His passport is from the Phillipines, but his interview and medical will take place in Saudi.

Yes, you need your BC everything should be original from PSA.

No need to have red ribbon, that is only required for OFW.

One more question.

Is the USCIS giving enough time to prepare all the documents? Also in interview. are they going to inform you days or one week before your schedule? Im just worried as i am working 10hrs 6days a week. and might not get leave right away aside from my off. also abu dhabi is two to three hours far from here ( dubai) .

Yes i'm an ofw. Working in dubai. So i guess i need all my documents to be in red ribbon. -NO, what I mean is red ribbon is only required if you will be an OFW working out of PH. Now since you will be applying for a K1, you DON'T need your docs to be red ribboned. US Embassy do not require that.

Check the Dubai forum; processing is embassy specific so the actual process in Abu Dhabi (AUE) could be different.
