Before I send the next bad boy to the USCIS, I want to see if I have everything I need.

Here are the contents of my package.

  • I-751 form
  • Copies of passport and green card
  • Copies of Texas Driver License for both
  • A copy of our 2014 and 2015 joint US tax return
  • Copy showing designation of life insurance/ 401K for both
  • Copies of past two years rental leases
  • Copy of our Nebraska furniture credit cards showing a joint account/ purchases
  • Copy of our bank accounts showing joint policy
  • A copy of our airline tickets/ and tourist card for vacation to the Galapagos Islands on November 07, 2015
  • Copies of cards sent by relatives
  • Photos takes on vacation, at work, with family from 2014-2016

I read that affidavits by U.S. citizens may be included, but I am wondering if I need them. We moved away from all of our friends and family so getting signed copies could be difficult in the time frame. Could we use a copy of the signed form if we need it?

Also, do you pay the Biometric fee up front or wait to see if they need it? The application is just for my husband who had a biometric done when he got his green card. The USCIS's website wording is a bit misleading.

Thank you for the help in advance.

I agree, if you could include at least samples of your joint account bank statements (if not all) spanning the 2 years, it would consolidate your list even more. If you are having a hard time with signed affidavits, you could also present Wills/Testament and Medical Power of Attorney documents - these I think carry a lot of weight on this process. Best of luck!!!
