Hilarious! I'm in the same boat as you, sort of.

I'm leaving Canada, to move to the US with my wife.

I have a GREAT job here, a house, family, etc.

Not to mention free health care.

Guess your MIL doesn't realize that when a Canadian moves to the US, it's typically not for the benefits of getting a GC. :rofl:

We typically move to be with the one we love. (as is the case with every other person here)

Please do let us know what happens with your case!

I'm preparing to move now, and would like to keep this one in the back of my mind....for when I get to Utah.

Please don't misunderstand! I didn't mean your situation is hilarious! Not by any stretch of the imagination!!

Just meaning how similar our stories are....that's all.

I meant no disrespect!

What I miss most about Canada, in no particular order:

My family!

My friends!

KD!

Hawkins Cheezies!

Poutine!

Lays Ketchup Chips!

 

What I don't miss:

-40 degree weather
