But I will be back :P

We are flying to Canada tomorrow night and we will be there for about a week....

I saw my mom and dad a few months ago when they came after Noah was born but I haven't seen my sibs in about a year...

I have a question... my brother is giving us some RAM for our computer.... and I was wondering if we will be allowed to take it on the plane.... I plan on packing it in our checked bag but I am not sure if they will let it on the plane if they scan the bag  It might look suspicious...

i think it looks something like this...

Peace to All creatures great and small............................................

But when we turn to the Hebrew literature, we do not find such jokes about the donkey. Rather the animal is known for its strength and its loyalty to its master (Genesis 49:14; Numbers 22:30).

Enjoy your visit, Marilyn. :star: I'd recommend leaving the RAM in it's original packaging and if it isn't clearly labelled, write on the outside of the package what it is.

always a good idea anyways, as static electricity can destroy ram.

Have a safe flight!!!!

Canadians Visiting the USA while undergoing the visa process, my free advice:

1) Always tell the TRUTH. never lie to the POE officer

2) Be confident in ur replies

3) keep ur response short and to the point, don't tell ur life story!!

4) look the POE officer in the eye when speaking to them. They are looking for people lieing and have been trained to find them!

5) Pack light! No job resumes with you

6) Bring ties to Canada (letter from employer when ur expected back at work, lease, etc etc)

7) Always be polite, being rude isn't going to get ya anywhere, and could make things worse!!

8) Have a plan in case u do get denied (be polite) It wont harm ur visa application if ur denied, that is if ur polite and didn't lie! Refer to #1

Thanks everyone....

Can't wait to have some of my mom's home cooking

My parents have been waiting to get their kitchen remodeled since last August... they talked to this contractor and he kept saying that he was going to come in a month, then 2 months and then January ....

A week or two ago he said he would be there this last Tuesday to start working on the kitchen.... What great timing :P

I am not sure if he actually came.... If he did this trip is going to be so relaxing with a bunch of strangers tearing apart my parents kitchen.... :P

Luckily my parents have a second kitchen downstairs.... they never really used it before now though but I am sure it will come in handy now...

I don't see why it should cause issues; though what is special about the chipset your brother is giving?

(since it looks just like ones available ubiquitously, including at Costco).

I am not saying that the is exactly the one we are getting :P I just wasn't really sure what RAM looked like so I GOOGLED :P

there is nothing special about the one my bro is getting us... it was his Christmas present to us but we just haven't gotten it yet..... my mom figured she would wait to give it to us when we got there....

Hopefully you know what type of RAM to get. If not at least know ur computer, as many places you can buy RAM can figure it out by computer type. Then one has to know if you have any slots available. What RAM do you currently have in the computer?
